Amidst the encroaching modernity, Durgesh experienced a growing disconnect from the traditions and folk music that shaped her upbringing. This sense of loss ignited an intense desire to create something meaningful—an avenue to reconnect with her cultural background and offer others a way to weave their roots into their everyday lives.

She gathered a team of skilled designers, karigars, and weavers to create designs that authentically represent India’s rich textile and embroidery heritage while remaining affordable and accessible.

Our story is a testament to Durgesh's visionary leadership, fueled by her passion for Indian craft and textiles. From its humble beginnings in her drawing room, Cult91 has blossomed into a thriving brand with two successful stores and a mission to preserve and promote the enduring art of Indian textiles and embroidery.
